Kosher Food in Bosques Mexico City

Updated: Jul 11, 2021

Bosques is another neighborhood in Mexico City worth exploring for Kosher food. There is a strip with a ton of Kosher restaurants all on 1 or 2 blocks. Here's are some of the places you can explore.

El Carboncito Kosher - Authentic Mexican Food

It's an authentic Kosher Mexican restaurant. We ordered a lot of tacos. It was all very very spicy! It was definitely a unique experience and they have a nice view. The drenched fries were delicious and the salad was absolutely needed to counteract all the spiciness! It's not the kind of place I would return to after 1 try but it's def a must try.

If you walk down the block there is a Kosher Churro booth, go here for dessert!

Must order: Schwarama Tacos

La Churreria - Churro Booth

Av. Stim 1309 local C, Lomas de Chamizal 22.24.15.95

So Parve churros shouldn't be amazing but this seriously good stuff. This caramel churro was delicious!

and the smore's churro which was even better!

Dogs Bar - Sports Bar

Av Stim 1350, Lomas del Chamizal

Cuajimalpa de Morelos, 05129 Ciudad de México, CDMX

This place is perfect for a Motzei Shabbat outing, it's a Kosher sports bar and hookah lounge. The atmosphere was brilliant and we definitely felt that this was the place to be. Within a few moments the place was packed. If you want to smoke hookah make sure to sit in a smoking section. We ordered the Carpaccio De Res and fell in love from the first bite. The flavor was on point! We made sandwiches with the mini-toasts and devoured the dish within minutes. We also got the Lamb burger and hotdog with two margaritas. The burger was delicious however the dog fell a little flat. The drinks were also not strong and tasted mostly like a sugary drink, albeit a tasty sugary drink. Overall a really good experience and I would highly recommend it!

Must order: The Beef Carpaccio.

This a Japanese Hibachi restaurant, but here they call it something else. They cook right in front of you which is a cool experience.

We started off the fried green beans, they call it sticky fingers. It came with a well flavored sauce and it was a good starter.

We watched him make the next dish which was a Japanese chicken and rice and it tasted really good with the added sauces.

The next dish was made with beef and vegetables and while I liked the vegetable, it all had one flavor only - soy sauce. I also learned quickly that the meat in Mexico City in general isn’t great quality so my recommendation for you is this: when you have the choice between meat and chicken, go with the chicken.

For dessert we got fried ice cream which looked better than it tasted.

Bosques de la Reforma 458, Lomas de Vista Hermosa, Cuajimalpa de Morelos, 05120 Ciudad de México, CDMX, Mexico

This Israeli style restaurant with Middle Eastern cuisine ended up being in my top 5. We came here to break the fast and while the service was really slow since they were busy, all the food was really well favored and tasty. The value and ambiance is also really good. We ordered A LOT of food and our whole bill was $63.

My favorite dishes were the Yemenite Matzah Ball soup, the Lajmajin and the Moroccan Cigars with Spinach. We also got the Kippeh and Ishtabaj.

The Lajmajin, which is like a meat pizza, is the owners grandmothers recipe. You need to order it.

It’s a community favorite but it somehow ended up being the place we went to on our very last night in Mexico City. They serve Mexican dishes, sushi and more!

We got one roll of sushi and it was good, but what is really tasty here are the soups.

We got one with avocado in it and I’m now hooked. I know, avocado in soup? But yes, try it. Sorry I don’t remember the name.

We got a whole lot of other dishes but the top two that I’d recommend is this soup and the Turkey Drumsticks.

That’s all folks!
